Meaning of “MOTOMAMI” by ROSALÍA
In all honesty, it’s very difficult trying to pin down exactly what the lyrics of “MOTOMAMI” are supposed to mean. This may be due to the fact that we are relying on an English translation (albeit one provided by Genius) as opposed to analyzing “Motomami” in its native Spanish.
But what can be theorized, based primarily on the wording of the track’s sole verse, is that Rosalía is singing to a romantic interest. And it may be that he’s akin to a manipulative playa, and she’s exposing him in that regard, i.e. letting her lover know that she is aware of his dark ways.
