“nasty” by Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande’s “Nasty” is a sexually-themed song. As a premise, it would appear that Grande is addressing someone whom she shares a mutual romantic interest with.  However, they have yet to actually get intimate. So the way she deems it, tonight is the idea night for the two of them to get it on. Or as the songstress puts it mildly-metaphorically, she “wants to get nasty” with this individual. And in that regard, she is promising him a good time if they do in fact get down. Or stated differently, she is imploring him to cast aside the good manners he’s been displaying towards her thus far and to indeed take her.

Nasty was made public on 30 October 2020. But even before Republic Records officially released it on that date, Arianators were already well aware of its existence as Grande teased it via Instagram back on 24 March 2020.

The creation team behind this song consists of songwriters Grande and Victoria Monét.  Meanwhile TBHits, Nami, Travis Sayles and The Rascals (Leon T. III and K. Riddick-Tynes) served as both writers and producers of Nasty.

Was “Nasty” released as a single?

No. It is featured on Ariana Grande’s 2020 studio album, Positions.
