“Care” by Beabadoobee

According to Beabadoobee’s explanation of this song, she is addressing people who may have misplaced emotions for her, or those who think they understand her situation even though they don’t. And basically, what the singer is acknowledging is that such individuals don’t “really care” about her. As such, she is not interested in being the recipient of their sympathy. Simultaneously the lyrics have a personal-historical feel, as if Beabadoobee is singing to someone who may have done something to offend her during her childhood. 

So overall, it can be said she is dissing fake friends both generally and specifically.

The entire song was written by none other than Beabadoobee herself. And it is the first track on her “Fake It Flowers” album.

Released on July 15th, 2020, “Care” was the first single Bea released from her maiden album (“Fake It Flowers”).
