At the heart of the matter would be the fact that he has mental/emotional issues, which in this case is primarily relayed as the vocalist ‘feeling alone’. And in the name of overcoming this condition or ‘getting rid of his demons’, as WRLD liked to put it, he relied heavily on illicit drugs.

And Juice also recognizes that the “devil” is on his behind, thus implying an acknowledgement of the fact that practicing such a lifestyle is not ideal. But it’s like he’s so high and accustomed to living this way that he can’t realistically conceptualize changing.

And of course, a true Juice WRLD standard would not be complete without him referencing the blessing of having “found love” amidst the madness, at a time he wasn’t really expecting it.

The Conclusion

Overall, this piece encapsulates the kind of negative outlook he had on life which defined his artistry. On one hand it’s like yes, we all know that constantly consuming drugs in the name of combating depression is not a good thing, but it isn’t like Juice was/is the only person in the world doing so.

And that is why he regularly praised the herb, oxycodone or what have, because even though he knew always being high was potentially problematic, doing so helped him directly deal with a more pressing issue in his life, i.e. chronic depression.
