“Flex” by Polo G (ft. Juice WRLD)

The two main topics this song explores is the rappers’ wealth and violent ways. Indeed the title points to the idea that the vocalists are not only rich but also aren’t afraid to show it. Moreover the rappers present themselves as being more or less armed to the teeth. It is especially Polo G who comes off in such a manner, as he goes about letting opps know, in a metaphorical way, that if he catches them slipping, that it can be it for them.

Juice on the other hand comes from a disposition whereas he lets it be known that he is ready to initiate gun violence more in the self-defense. And both artists depict themselves as bosses if you will, i.e. individuals who have ‘shooters’ on hand who are ready to let bullets fly at a moment’s notice.  So what all of this is meant to boil down to, as the chorus suggests, is the rappers enjoying the good life.  That is to say that not only do they have a lot of dough, but they also conform to the ‘hood ideology of what a real man is supposed to be.

So accordingly “Flex” serves as a celebration of the fact that they are rich, bullet-happy and have “a bad b***h”, as in very-attractive female, on their arm.
