“I Love It” by Kylie Minogue

Kylie Minogue’s “I Love It” is a dance/romantic song. The overall implication is that what it is the singer ‘loves’ would be the addressee, her sweetheart. And basically, the lyrics are dedicated to her letting him know how she feels. She is also celebrating the fact that the feelings the two of them share are such that “no one can take away”.  So yes, the singer is getting her disco on. But via this particular track, she is doing so while simultaneously rejoicing over the true love that she has found.

The official release date of this song was 23 October 2020. Darenote and BMG put it out before the album it is featured on, Kylie’s Disco project, in order to advertise the album. And it was a promotional as opposed to a standard single. Moreover, it charted in the US, UK and Scotland.

The co-writers and producers of “I Love It” are Duck Blackwell and Biff Stannard. And Minogue is also credited as a co-writer.

In composing the tune, Minogue was partially inspired by American musician Lionel Richie.
