• “Back to You” was officially released on May 10th, 2018 – about 9 days after Selena took to the social media platform Instagram to announce the song to her fans and the world at large. It was Gomez’s first single of 2018.
• The song is a single (the lead) from the soundtrack album of the second season of Netflix’s mystery teen drama web TV series 13 Reasons Why. According to an interview this web series’ music supervisor Season Kent had with Billboard, the lyrics of “Back to You” fit perfectly into the storyline of the romance between two of the shows characters. FYI: Gomez acted as an executive producer on the soundtrack album in question.
• The song made its debut on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 at number 31 before going on to peak at number 22. On the UK Singles Chart, the song currently occupies the number 13th position.
