“Oprah’s Bank Account” by Lil Yachty & DaBaby (ft. Drake)

The title of this collaboration is actually a compliment the artists are imparting on a particular female(s). And basically what it boils down to, since Lil Yachty is saying that her looks make them think of Oprah Winfrey’s hefty bank account, is them implying she is an attractive, high-class girl. And considering who we’re dealing with here, that means the rappers wanting to sleep with said lady. 

So on that note the verses themselves center on the their interactions with women. Drake is up first, who kinda presents himself as the type of guy who would spend a pretty penny on a lady he truly cares for. Then comes Lil Yachty, who is likewise spreading his girl out. This makes other women jealous of her and other guys want her. But that is pretty much the desired effect from Yachty’s perspective. Meanwhile DaBaby is dedicated to presenting himself as the kind of guy who would take another dude’s girlfriend without a second thought. But he has no intention of actually building a relationship, rather just using her for a quick score. 

So in a subliminal sort of way, it can be said that what this track is actually based on is these successful musicians acknowledging that ladies are largely attracted to them for their wealth. And whereas they all may take advantage of such from time to time, Drake and Lil Yachty come off as the types who aren’t afraid to fall in love, so to speak. But DaBaby seems as if he’s totally uninterested in any serious relationship, rather preferring random interactions with any woman who catches his eye.

This collaboration marks the first time Lil Yachty has teamed up with either DaBaby or Drake. However, DaBaby was featured alongside Drake on the remix of Future’s “Life Is Good” in February 2020.

“Oprah’s Bank Account” was released on 9 March 2020. It is the lead single from Yachty’s fourth album, “Lil Boat 3”. And the labels that put it out include Motown Records and Capitol Records.

The music video to this song was directed by Director X. It features Lil Yachty impersonating A++ list media personality Oprah Winfrey.

“Oprah’s Bank Account” was written by all three artists (DaBaby, Yachty and Drake). The trio co-wrote the track with its producer, EarlOnTheBeat.
