“Stepdad” by Eminem
“Stepdad” is based on a revenge fantasy Eminem is having against his stepdad. In the lyrics, he is portraying the role of a child who regularly suffers at the hands of an unjust and cruel stepfather who abuses both he and his mother. This starts when he is very young, so he is unable to do anything in retaliation. But as he grows older, reaching into puberty, he feels that he can step up.
So by the time the third verse comes along its just another day, but his stepfather makes the mistake of rubbing him the wrong way for the last time. And to make the long story short, Eminem ambushes “stepdad” and beats him to death. So as clearly illustrated in the chorus, the primary sentiment being expressed in this song is the hatred the vocalist feels towards the person who serves the titular role in his life.
