“Walk Out That Door” by Ali Gatie

Most simply explained, “Walk Out That Door” is the case of a vocalist who is unable to get over the addressee, his ex. As Ali Gatie has described this piece in his own words, said individual represents “the one that got away”, i.e. that former lover whom he will always regret having let “walk out that door”.

Or put otherwise, when homegirl finally got fed up enough to leave him, Ali didn’t put up a fight. And letting the love of his life bounce like that is one of a handful of reasons why he’s currently in his feelings. Another is the vocalist coming to realize that it was he who caused all the drama, i.e. having broken her heart.

But at the top of the list of his emotional discomfort is the simple fact that Ali has now found himself in a state of romantic stagnation. In other words, he “can’t move on” with his love life, nor can he “forget” losing the addressee, despite making efforts to do so. So now in the aftermath of it all, the vocalist wishes he never initiated the relationship to begin with, not only due to his own “soul” now being ‘hurt’ also amidst regretting the pain he has caused his sweetheart.
