Swae seems as if he is in a relationship with a feisty lady. Indeed it appears she may even be skeptical towards the idea of settling down with Lee. He also felt similarly at first but now realizes that she is the one. And accordingly he is intent on keeping her for “life” while exercising patience throughout.

Meanwhile Drake’s verse is primarily dedicated to letting his sweetheart know how committed he is. For instance, he insinuates that he has excommunicated all of his other female friends. Moreover he resorts to memorabilia, such as pictures of her or what have you, when she is not physically present for him to interact with. Indeed it seems like throughout his rap he is addressing her from afar. And the overall sentiment being relayed is that, once again, he is quite eager to see her.

So in summation, throughout this song Swae Lee and Drake are speaking to their respective romantic interests. And what they are fundamentally expressing is their strong commitment to and feeling for the women they love.
