“I Feel Funny” by Justin Bieber
This is a song which, as put forth in the title, features the Biebs taking a comedic approach. Owing to this, “I Feel Funny” is a tune which listeners are not taking as seriously as some of his other songs.
But even though this piece features only one terse verse, the main points actually come across clearer, may we say, than even your usual Justin Bieber fare. And said main points are threefold. First is that the vocalist putting forth that he is on the paper chase, i.e. out to make “bills on bills”. Secondly, Justin acknowledges that back in the days he used to be a serious loverboy. But now in the present he has “settle(d) down”, thus making this one of the rare Bieber tracks we have come across where Justin actually acknowledges his marriage.
And the chorus goes on to reiterate that this is a piece which the singer is dropping while “feel(ing) funny”. As such, the Biebs is also encouraging us listeners to “laugh it up” and get off some “chuckles” in the process.

The music video to this track was directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett. And it seems that “I Feel Funny”, which was released on 27 April 2022, is a song that Bieber’s camp may have initially took as a bit of a joke. But while in the process of filming the video to “Honest”, a Bieber 2022, he and Cole opted to lay down the visuals for “I Feel Funny” – which itself is only 1 minute and 15 seconds long – “in between takes” and using Justin’s phone to do so.
Hip-hop artist Don Toliver pops up on the music video to this track. And it is implied therein that he is on the verge of dropping a collaboration with the Biebs. The said collaboration eventually came out on April 29th, 2022 in the form of the song, “Honest“.
“I Feel Funny”, which is a product of Def Jam Records, was written and produced by Bieber.
NOTE: For the record Bieber married his wife, Hailey, in 2018, herself being the daughter of Hollywood actor Stephen Baldwin and part of the celebrity Baldwin family.
I see a bit of a deeper meaning in this song, but I don’t know what it is. The song just seems a little… wrong. Like there is more to it than the lyrics themselves say. This song just isn’t like any other song by Justin. I might have analyzed the song a little too much, but I really do think this song has a deeper meaning than it shows on the surface.
This is a big Stretch but what if Justin Biebers song ‘I Feel Funny’ isn’t just a funny or strange song from justin at all. in the song he claims he has settled down. idk about you but i wouldnt want to settle when we are talking about Love. that word just doesn’t sit right. when you settle an argument both sides just come to a common agreement which is when we settle.. usually not a happy circumstance. maybe when he feels “funny” its because he did indeed settle for what he did not want and he was realizing it. maybe it was his love for Selena all over again or just someone entirely new. it could also be because he’s realized he’s just not happy and wants an out.
