Selena Gomez’s “De Una Vez” Lyrics Meaning

The title of this song (“De Una Vez”) translates from Spanish into English as “at once”.  And the intended purpose of the lyrics are to point to the idea of Selena Gomez being liberated from some of the issues which have darkened her past. More specifically, it would appear what she is actually recuperating from is a toxic romantic relationship.  And even going further into the matter at hand, whereas she was once heartbroken, the vocalist has now built up sort of a resiliency to emotional pain. And the title of the track alludes to her finally and conclusively reaching said state. However, at the same time, it is also quite obvious that the way her ex mistreated her is still on her mind.
