“Dakiti” by Bad Bunny & Jhay Cortez

It has been noted that the name of this track (“Dakiti”) actually points to a popular nightclub found in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. And yes, certain parts of the song do appear as if the participants are situated in such a setting. However, for the most part it is seductively romantic in nature. In other words, it features the two artists hitting on respective ladies who have caught their eye. And what that basically means is that they are willing to dole out big bucks in the name of sleeping with the addressees. But more to the point is Bad Bunny and Jhay Cortez’s aggressive, if you will, in letting these women know just how much they are enamored by them.

Dakiti, which came out on 30 October 2020, is the first original collaboration between Bad Bunny and his fellow Boriqua, Jhay Cortez. That is to say that the two vocalists had teamed up on a couple of tracks prior, but both of those were remixes.

In addition to laying down the vocals, Jhay Cortez and Bad Bunny also acted as writers and producers of Dakiti. The other producers are La Paciencia and Tainy, with Tainy also being a co-writer, as were Mora and F.C. El Haze.
