“Slow It Down” by Roddy Ricch (ft. Alex Isley & Ty Dolla $ign)

There really isn’t much to this song besides the phrase “slow it down when you come around” being repeated. And it is apparently romantic in nature considering that the addressee is specified as being a “her”. 

So topic-wise, this is actually the most uniform song we have come across thus far going down the playlist of “Live Life Fast”, as well as the first to officially feature a female vocalist. 

And the expectation going into this track is that it may have served as an antithesis to the album’s titular theme. But such is not the case, and instead this appears to be something like Roddy Ricch’s version of a love song, further considering that he even enlisted one of the descendants of the Isley clan for the cause.

Release Date of “Slow it Down”

This under one minute long song was released on the same day as its album, “Live Life Fast”. The album was released on December 17 of 2021.

“Live Life Fast” is the 2nd album of the rapper’s career.
